If I'm not being obnoxious by commenting two years after postage, I have ideas.

You could use this as a celebration of blue moons if you labeled twelve of the points with symbols representing the various moons (Wolf Moon for January, Blood Moon for October, etc) and label the last one with a distinctive and fitting symbol.
Hmmm. . . you could also do the five elements, the self, and the seven planets as a theme. The symbols would look all magical and whatnot.
On the subject of planets- you could put all 13 zodiac symbols arround the edge- including the often forgotten serpent-bearer.
If you are a Christian, maybe you could do a theme with the one Christ and his twelve apostles.
